Sex refers to the male and female duality of biology and
reproduction. Sexual intercourse, also called coitus, is the human form of copulation. While its
primary evolutionary purpose is the reproduction and continued survival of
the human species, it can also be used for sexual pleasure exclusively.
Sexuality refers to sexual behaviour in all sexual organisms.
Human sexuality refers to the expression of sexual sensation and
related intimacy between human beings, as well as the expression of identity
through sex and as influenced by or based on sex. Human sexuality
takes many forms and comprises a broad range of behaviour and processes, to
which there are physiological, psychological, social, cultural, political,
and spiritual or religious aspects, among others. Human sexual
behavior is the behaviours in which human beings engage when seeking
sexual or relational partners, gaining approval of possible partners,
forming relationships, showing affection, and mating.
Heterosexuality refers to sexual and romantic attraction between
individuals of the opposite sex. Homosexuality refers to sexual
and romantic attraction between individuals of the same sex. Bisexuality is the sexual orientation which refers to sexual and
romantic desire for individuals of either sex.
